How YOU Can Help Haiti !!
In times of utter devastation and destruction such as what the Haitian nation is feeling at this time, we as a Caribbean community and the global community at large must come together and offer assistance in all means possible. In addition to your continued thoughts and prayers, here are a few ways by which you can help,
- The Haitian Association of Houston has setup a drop off point at The Multi Ethnic Community Center located @ 9819 Bissonnet right between 59 south & Beltway 8 this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7am till 10pm. yPlease bring can goods, water, clothes, or make a monetary donation.
- Send a Text Message with the word YELE to 501501 in order to automatically make a $5 Donation to Yele Haiti, an organization founded by Wycleff Jean for the purpose of providing ongoing relief and support to the nation of Haiti.
- Send a Text Message with the word HAITI to 90999 in order to automatically make a $10 Donation to the American Red Cross to support their relief efforts.
- Click here to donate to UNICEF in their mission to help children affected by this devastating earthquake
- Click here to donate to the American Red Cross in their ongoing disaster relief efforts.
- In our ongoing "Rebels with a Cause" initiative, SoulRebelProductions.com will be donating 10% of all proceeds from our next few events to Wycleff's Yele Haiti relief organization. We will also be taking up monetary, clothing. and food donations at the upcoming 1st Fridays for those who wish to give extra. Stay tuned for details.
